From flexible specialization to industrial districts: Industrial development in Third World cities
This paper discusses the theoretical and empirical relevance for understanding the dynamics of cities of the flexible specialization and industrial district concepts. It uses the new competition as concept in-between flexible specialization and industrial districts, to explain the dynamics of urban centres in a large number of countries.
